Financial Stewardship & Use of Donations
Transparency and responsible stewardship are core values of our organization. As a small, all volunteer nonprofit focused on super senior cats, we operate with intention, restraint, and long-term sustainability in mind.
Senior Catizen Retirement Home
Public donations received for this Program are directed specifically toward veterinary care, medications, supplements, and medical supplies for the super senior cats in our care.
Rescue Partner Medical Funding Program
Public donations received for this Program are used solely to make payments directly to the vet practices used by our approved rescue partners.
To maximize the impact of every donated dollar, all general operating and daily care expenses are covered personally by our Founder as a donor. These expenses include, but are not limited to:
• Office and administrative costs (e.g., PO Box, software, filing fees, website fees, shipping, office supplies)
• Food, litter, bedding, cleaning supplies, and daily care items
• General household-related costs associated with providing a safe and stable environment
Our organization carries no debt and thus does not incur interest or financing charges. Maintaining strong financial health and a modest year-end surplus is intentional and ensures stability, preparedness for unexpected medical needs, and the ability to grow responsibly when capacity allows.
This structure reflects our commitment to fiscal responsibility, donor trust, and providing compassionate, dignified care for the super senior cats we help without overextending resources or compromising our standards of care.
We are deeply grateful for every supporter who makes this important work possible by placing their trust in us to care for our most vulnerable creatures.
